Runners and walkers get their weekly parkrun fix

The Roodepoort parkrun saw almost 400 runners, joggers, walkers and volunteers line up to complete the 5km course at Len Rutter Park.

The parkrun movement is gaining momentum as it offers an opportunity to anyone wanting to get fit while being able to have fun and make some friends.

On March 2 at 08:00, 375 walkers, joggers and runners lined up at the starting line of the Roodepoort parkrun excitedly waiting for the run director to set them off.
