In-Reach Run held a successful night run at the Ruimsig Country Club on January 25.
A heavy rainstorm threatened to derail the event in the late afternoon, but it passed quickly, leaving clear skies and nice and cool – albeit a little soggy – conditions for a magnificent run along the stunning Ruimsig Country Club’s golf course.
According to event organiser Cornè van Zyl, the event again demonstrated the extraordinary resilience and spirit of the running community who chose to take part despite challenging weather conditions.
“In a stroke of pure luck, the weather cleared up and we were able to host a wonderful run,” said Corné.
“We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for a night filled with excitement and camaraderie, especially considering the unforeseen weather circumstances.
“Despite the initial stormy conditions, we were blessed with beautiful clear skies by the time the event started, making it an unforgettable success.”
