Crawford’s Chante off to the Midmar after successful seeding event

Crawford International leaner qualify for swimming championships.

On January 21, Chante Joubert, a Grade 12 learner from Crawford International Ruimsig, participated in the Aquatics Gauteng Open Water Championships at Prime View, Olifantsfontien in Midrand.

She performed exceptionally well as she was swimming to qualify for her second qualifying time for the season for the consideration for Open Water Nationals 2024.

She made herself and the school proud by swimming another qualifying Swimming South Africa time in the 3km race, in just 46 minutes. Then later that morning, she took part in a second event which was the Prime View Swim Challenge where she placed second in the 1 500m race for her Midmar Mile seeding time in 22 minutes. She finished and placed seventh in her category and is off to swim Midmar over the weekend of February 9–11.
