Wrestle Madness II will determine who will stand up to RISE
Many happenings have led up to this moment where Wrestle Madness II will determine who is the ultimate victor at APWA.
Wrestle Madness II (WMII) is on its way to determine who will end the tyranny of RISE or whether their dominance over the African Punishment Wrestling Association (APWA) will continue.
The first Wrestle Madness started as a way to honour the late Paul Lloyd Senior. In the main event, two old friends battled it out to see who was the best wrestler, The Lion Afrika Ananzi or Paul Lloyd’s son, The Darewolf PJ Black. Ananzi walked away the victor of the match and became the inaugural APWA Undisputed Champion, while PJ headed back to the United States. Ananzi on the other hand remained the champion for 397 days, should he retain it at WMII.
In December, at the APWA Summer Explosion event, a Battle Royal took place where every member on the APWA roster faced Ananzi for his championship at WMII.
Zizou, a villain turned hero, saw this opportunity as a way to redeem himself in the eyes of the fans and he was left the last man standing. The Fire Alex Desire, Zizou’s opponent at WMI however saw this as a disgrace. He also allied with Zizou’s father and then manager, the APWA Hall of Famer and wrestling legend, Thierry Middoux, who betrayed Zizou by costing him the match and becoming the new manager of Alex. Now Alex wants to be the main event of WMII.
In 2023, APWA management started a development division aimed at the younger talent just starting at the APWA Academy named RISE. However, a faction formed by the moniker decided to cause havoc for any person in their way.
This RISE faction consists of The Great William, now the new APWA Performance Champion after defeating Alex at Summer Explosion. Faction member Wade Alucard seems to revel in the pain of others while Zandre’a, who is an enforcer and the self-proclaimed alpha female of APWA, and Michael Moreno who is RISE’s referee, believe the others to be corrupt.
Some tried to stand up against their tyranny, however to no avail. WMII will now determine whether their tyranny will be put to an end or whether they will remain dominant in APWA.
The APWA roster consists of Ananzi, Alex Desire, Zizou, The Great William, Wade Alucard, Zandre’a, Michael Moreno, Ultimate Nathan, Thunder Hawk, Vusi Storm, The Kingdom Kid, The Experiment, RJ Jansen Van Rensburg, Bobby Bronx, Liam Jacobs and JP du Preez.
On January 26 spectators will find out who will be victorious in WMII, taking place at the Danie van Zyl Recreation Centre.
