Help get young ambitious soccer boy to Italy

The 10-year-old boy strives for excellence in all spheres of his life and needs your help to allow him to live his dream.

An ambitious young soccer boy needs the help of the community to get him to participate in soccer trails in Italy next year.

Zidane Kajee (10) is obsessed with playing soccer and has been doing so since the age of five, his mother Nazreen Kajee said. She also mentioned that he has known no other hobby than that of playing soccer with some occasional video games from time to time; he prefers playing soccer with his friends.

The Northcliff Primary School learner is a straight-A learner who takes his academics very seriously and strives for excellence across academics and co-curricular activities. He has joined the Wits Football Club this year and while he is U10, his soccer excellence qualified him to play with boys from the U11 team.

“Everything is happening so fast – we got the message on November 30 and have hardly four months left to come up with almost R150 000 to send him overseas to be able to do what he loves with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” Nazreen said.

The family has thus decided to initiate a BackaBuddy campaign in hopes of raising the necessary funds to be able to make this dream a reality.

“His greatest joy lies in chasing his soccer dreams. This trial marks just the beginning of an extraordinary journey. With your support, Zidane can attend these trials and achieve everything he’s meant to. Together, let’s fuel his aspirations and make his soccer dreams a reality,” Nazreen continued.

Any good Samaritan who is in a position to help could visit Zidane’s BackaBuddy campaign or contact his mother on 073 893 4808.
