Local netball teams bag 15 medals in Junior Super League

The Hillfox Action Junior Netball teams had an exciting and successful season, with strong preparation and impressive results at the recently completed Gauteng Junior Netball Super League Tournament.

The Hillfox Action Sports facility was named the official Junior Super League Gauteng arena at the Junior Netball Super League Tournament with the facility’s teams also bagging 15 medals!

The teams had an exciting and successful season with impressive results at the recently completed Gauteng Junior Netball Super League Tournament.

The arena netball manager, René Blok, mentioned that they dedicated three months to prepare for the season, conducting rigorous training sessions multiple times a week to ensure their players were well-prepared for the competition.

Out of the 17 teams that entered the tournament, an impressive 15 made it to the semi-finals.

After an intense weekend of competition, the Hillfox Action Junior Netball teams managed to secure 11 gold medals, three silver medals, and one bronze medal.
“This was a remarkable achievement for both the teams and the arena,” stated René.

The specific age groups and categories in which they won gold medals include U11A and B, U12B, U13A and B, U14A and B, U15A and B, U16A, and U17A.

Silver medals were claimed by the U12A, U13B, and U16B teams, while a single bronze medal was awarded to the U11B team.

Notable individual players who received accolades for their performances in their respective matches include Gracia Ojiadazie, Kamea Alexander, Danika Mouton, Kate Ashley, Landa Mgwebile, Oluchi Ndubueze, Charmaine Tsvangira, Sisonke Mgwebile, and Johané Lamprecht.

In the grand culmination of individual and team successes, Hillfox Action Sports Arena was declared the overall Junior Netball Arena for 2023, demonstrating their dominance in the sport.
