Community members come together to learn about fitness

The free fitness camp is a way to educate the community on how to properly keep fit.

Community members were treated to a free fitness camp to educate them about the particulars of fitness.

The weekly fitness camp at Vredenhoek Street Park took place again on September 2. Akhonathi April, a wellness coach, stated they started the initiative as they realised many people do not necessarily know how to exercise. He stated they then teach people different exercises.

Allistair Singo.

He continued to say that, aside from the free workout they also teach people about nutrition, including what to eat, how to eat, and also how to control their energy levels.

Lesedi Tsatsimpe.

He stated, “A lot of people are starving themselves because they don’t know what to do, which results in them having complications.”

Conny Ditsebe.

He explained that they do all kinds of exercises, they don’t only do cardio or aerobics. He concluded the fit camp is twice a month and one week each month they go on a hike.
