The Roodepoort parkrun yields many personal bests
Despite the cold weather, many residents came together to join in the parkrun where the aim is to keep fit and interact with the community.
The 509th Roodepoort parkrun took place this weekend at Len Rutter Park.
A total of 192 parkrunners showed up to enjoy the comradery and exercise in the cold weather and 22 were able to improve their personal best times, further 26 volunteers helped to make the parkrun happen.
One of the parkrunners, Graeme Adamson ran his 400th parkrun and he ran all of these at 100 different locations. He explained he started running to earn Vitality points, but now he does it to keep fit and happy.
