The Wings for Life team would like to invite the West Rand community to join them for the annual Wings for Life World Run taking place on May 7 at Ruimsig Stadium.

This marathon, which brings together runners from all over the world to raise awareness and funds for spinal cord injury research, is one of the most interesting and inspirational events ever held.
Competitors race side by side to stay in front of the Virtual Catcher Car; there is no finish line. Gather your buddies, download the Wings for Life World race app, and race alongside everyone else until the Virtual Catcher Car, of course, captures you. The exact start time for the race is 13:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car sets off at 14 km/h 30 minutes after the race begins and gradually picks up pace until the final competitor has been captured. All contributions and entrance fees are used exclusively for spinal cord research projects.
The race will be held in a stunning setting on a demanding track that will test the endurance of the competitors.
