Ethan puts the pedal to the medal and wins first place overall!

Ethan qualified first in the SM Junior 50cc class, opening off an exciting day of racing.

On March 25, Ethan de Freitas, bike number 26 for the EDF Racing Team, had an amazing day of racing at the SA Short Circuit Series Round 2 at IDube Raceway in KwaZulu-Natal.

Ethan qualified for pole place in the SM Junior 50cc class, kicking off a fun-filled day of racing.

During Heat 1, Ethan dominated the race, finishing first with little challenge from his fellow riders. His number one threat got a front tyre puncture, forcing him to retire.

Then Heat 2 was an extremely close race between Ethan and Keaton for the entire eight laps, with positions changing throughout the race until Ethan took the checkered flag, claiming his second notable win of the day.

Heat 3 was nothing short of thrilling. For eight laps, Ethan and Keaton swapped positions continuously. Ethan then made the winning pass on the final lap, taking full advantage of the back markers into the final three bends. Ethan took the checkered flag first in the third heat of the day.

Ethan finished first overall and broke time records all day, with his fastest time for the day being 55,455 seconds on this 1000m IDube Race Track. He was also named Rider of the Day for his tenacity throughout the day.
