Absa Run Your City Joburg boasts new route on Heritage Day

All runners and walkers who enter the 2022 Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K will have a chance to win a stunning Chery Tiggo 4 Pro Urban vehicle to the value of R289 900 on event day.

Taking place on National Heritage Day (Saturday September 24), the 2022 Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K will boast an exciting new route that includes fun sections of the M1 and M2 highways.

Iconic City of Joburg landmarks to look out for on the day will include the Museum Africa, Nelson Mandela Bridge, Mary Fitzgerald Square, Ghandi Square, Absa Towers, Ponty Towers, Newtown Junction Mall, Ellis Park Stadium, M1 & M2 double-decker bridge, Old Park Station, Heritage View, Rand Daily Mail House, Carlton Centre, Reef Hotel, Anglo American, Johannesburg Court, Department of Justice and Enoch Sontonga Memorial Park to mention just a few.

All runners and walkers who enter the 2022 Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K will stand a chance to win a stunning Chery Tiggo 4 Pro Urban vehicle to the value of R289 900 on event day.

To be in the running to win the vehicle participants must enter the event and pay the entry fee, collect their race number from Race Pack Collection on the stipulated days and times, and be on the start line on race day.

“We are excited to celebrate the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series’ return to the vibrant City of Joburg with the announcement of a new route in 2022.

“Starting in Lilian Ngoyi Street at Mary Fitzgerald Square and finishing in Rahima Moosa Street at Mary Fitzgerald Square, runners can look forward to a fantastic route experience that will include exciting sections of the M1 and M2 highways.

When entering the Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K online entrants can choose to support four local charities: Reach For A Dream Foundation (RFAD), Cotlands, Johannesburg SPCA and Johannesburg Heritage Foundation.
