TKSWR female soccer player to compete abroad

Rachel, who plays for the Rand Central Local Football XI young women's soccer team, contributed to the team’s success during the tournament.

The King’s School West Rand is proud of its Grade 9 learner Rachel Baker who was part of a women’s soccer team that was crowned the Volkswagen Junior Master Champions last December.

Rachel, who plays for the Rand Central Local Football XI young women’s soccer team, contributed to the team’s success during the tournament.

The club’s triumph has earned them an automatic qualification to represent South Africa in the Gothia Cup 2020 in Gothenburg, Sweden from 11 to 18 July 2020.

It is the most prestigious youth football tournament in the world and it is a great honour for players to compete against nations from around the world.

Her school wishes Rachel great success in her promising career.
