Protea bowlers on their way to the World Bowling Championship

They will also be competing in the Provincial Competition in Port Elizabeth on 10 March.

Two top bowlers from the Leases Bowling Club showed off their skills at the South African Bowling Masters Championships on 8 February.

Nici Neal and Bridget Calitz competed in the singles match during the championships, and both won third place in their separate categories, securing a place in the World Bowls Team that will be competing at the World Bowl Championships (WBC) in Australia during May. At the WBC each bowler will have the opportunity to showcase their skills to qualify for the Commonwealth Games in London.

They will also be competing in the Provincial Competition in Port Elizabeth on 10 March.

Not only are these two making their club proud, but Nici was selected as a South Africa Proteas Bowler in 2013 and Bridget had the honour of being selected as a Proteas Bowler last year.
