Gymnastic excellence for 24 Seven
During the team announcement, federation colours were awarded to Jean Claude Roux, Ivan Dippenaar on two types of apparatus, Jean-Pierre Roux and the Federations coach, the club's own Bongani Mbatha.
Several gymnasts from the 24 Seven Gymnastics and Trampoline Club competed at the Region Five Trials that took place on 18 October at the University of Pretoria.
During the team announcement, federation colours were awarded to Jean-Claude (JC) Roux, Ivan Dippenaar on two apparatus, Jean-Pierre (JP) Roux and the Federations coach, the club’s own Bongani Mbatha.
JC Roux received Gauteng colours for trampoline, then went on to be SA Champion at the senior Games held on 19 October at the University of Pretoria.
Club owner, Luitha Roux said, “The club is extremely proud of the outstanding achievements of our gymnasts and coaches, I wish them all the best in representing the country at the Region Five Trampoline Champs in December.”
South Africa will be competing against Namibia, Swaziland, Botswana and Zimbabwe from 9 to 14 December 2019, at the University of Pretoria.
