Local gymnasts on their way to Germany

The competition has some of the best young European gymnasts competing in a team competition where a team consists of three gymnasts.

Karma Visagie and Kirsten Rampono have both been selected to represent the South African Gymnastics Federation at a high level international competition in Leverkusen in Germany at the end of October 2019.

As young talented gymnasts from all over make their way to the Olympic section, this is the second time these Visions Gymnastics girls have represented the country internationally.

Twelve-year-old Karma from Constantia Kloof was recently placed second overall in the Olympic entry section at the 2019 National Championships, while 13-year-old Kirsten from Featherbrooke Estate, who is a learner at Trinityhouse Little Falls, was placed third at the same tournament.

Karma said, “I am so excited and grateful for the opportunity to be able to represent my country in Germany. I am hoping to do well and secure a podium position.”

Kirsten said, “I have worked hard for this and I am excited about going oversees to represent my country at a world stage event.”
