Dojo celebrates their student’s achievements

The World Goju-Ryu Karate Federation hosted its 5th World Championships at the Titiwangsa Indoor Stadium in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia from 16 to 22 of September 2019.

 

Palm Court Karate Centre, a dojo based in Weltevreden Park for the past 27 years is celebrating their student’s achievements this month.

Palm Court Karate and dojo founder Mario Sequeira were proud to announce that five of their students qualified to represent South Africa at the World Goju-Ryu Karate Championships that took place in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia last month.

The World Goju-Ryu Karate Federation hosted its 5th World Championships at the Titiwangsa Indoor Stadium in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia from 16 to 22 of September 2019.

Daniel, Samantha and Rachel Boys all took part in the tournament, 18 years old Teya Poulsen came 3rd in Unison Kata and placed 8th in the world in individual kata while Mauritz Kotze represented South Africa as a referee.
