Four West Rand United FC players off to Portugal

When speaking to the boys it was clear that they could not contain their excitement and were extremely grateful for the opportunity.

 

Four of West Rand United’s young aspiring soccer stars will be jetting off to Portugal on Friday 28 June to participate in the Iber Cup.

They will represent Rand Central Local Football Association (RCLFA) at the tournament in Portugal.

The players’ ages range from 12 to 17. Blayden Starkey plays for the U/17s, while Ambrosio Molifi, Lindré van Kramberg and Mxolisi Nduli are U/12s.

When speaking to the boys it was clear that they could not contain their excitement and were extremely grateful for the opportunity.

The coaches and management of West Rand United are extremely proud of these young kids and wish them and all the RCLFA teams participating in the tournament all the best.

The club’s home ground is Cecil Payne Stadium in Maraisburg and training is on a Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6pm to 7pm, with match days for Little League on Saturdays and for Juniors on Sundays.
