Maragon cools off with inter-house gala

Maragon's Class of 2019 also had its special chance to carry out the annual matric swim held at the gala every year.

Maragon Ruimsig’s high school learners got their swimming year off to a great start on Friday, 25 January with the annual inter-house gala.

Maragon’s high school learners were lucky to have the school’s annual inter-house gala on a perfect day out, with the sun shining above-head creating the perfect swimming conditions. As usual, the spirit displayed by all of the school’s houses was amazing, but at the end of the day House Bateleur claimed the Spirit Cup. Bateleur’s voices weren’t the loudest for nothing either, as their swimmers swam the house all the way to winning the Gala Cup as well.

Reuben Pieters was named the Junior Victor Ludorum and Amy Clarke the Junior Victrix Ludorum. On the senior scene, Tammy Frylinck was the Senior Victrix Ludorum and Blake Godfrey the Senior Victor Ludorum as well as Best Overall Swimmer for the day.
