Honour Kickboxing Academy honoured kickboxers for their achievements
First prize-giving event was successful
The Honour Kickboxing Academy (HKA) only opened its doors in September last year, but managed to end the year strongly.
During their first outing at the Great North 3 Championships in October, they bagged a total of 11 medals, showing that they were definitely a force to be reckoned with.
To end their year on a high, the kickboxers were honoured for their exceptional achievements during their first prize-giving, where the 27 registered fighters received trophies in various categories.
The big winners on the night were:
• Zanique van Eeden – Trophy for the Fight of the Year
• Zanél van Eeden – Trophy for Junior Sportswoman of the Year
• Ryan Boshoff – Trophy for Sportsman of the Year
• Britney Swart – Trophy for Style of the Year, for her numerous spinning back kicks that resulted in points at the Great North Championships
Steve Eden, the owner of HKA, is extremely proud of every student who received an award and concluded by thanking them for their hard work.
