They finished the race in a time of three hours and one minute

Mixed doubles is a male/ female combination, and Jennie Dallas and Bertie Baard, who are also committee members, coaches, and safety officers at FLCC, partnered up to enjoy the wild water wave trains and fun drops at the river. They finished the race as the Grand Master Age Category winners in a time of three hours and one minute.
They were also the oldest duo competing in the race (60+ years).
Jennie concluded by saying, “The Free State weather was kind – warm and sunny with a cool breeze and some cloud cover – for a change!”
