Many of the 20 000 runners tackling the ultra-distance marathon this year are expected to be first-time runners.
It is these runners that the seminars, which are being held in six cities around the country, are specifically designed for and aimed at.
The seminars will feature a panel of experts, including the official Comrades Coach, as well as having other Comrades officials on hand to assist with details about registration along with what participants can expect at the start and finish of the race.
This year’s theme for the Comrades will be ‘Asijiki – No turning back’ and the seminars are aimed at ensuring first-timers do exactly that.
Entrance to the seminar, which will begin at 7pm on Tuesday, 10 April, at the Rand Athletics Club, Old Parktonian Sports Club, 1 Garden Road, Bordeaux, Randburg, is free.
