Derby Day goes incredibly well for local school

Founders’ Day is an event of all-out winter sports competitions which sees schools battled it out in different sporting codes.

 

Trinityhouse High School Little Falls recently held its second annual Founders’ Derby Day.

Founders’ Day is an event consisting of all-out winter sports competitions which sees schools battle it out in rugby, netball, and girls’ and boys’ hockey. The school, which came out victorious in almost all their matches, faced off against St Ursula’s, Charter College, King’s School Robin Hills, Randfontein High, St Catherine’s, and La Salle College.

“Founders’ Day was a sports derby of note.We had so much student and parent support, rooting for our ever-excelling athletes. You could feel the school spirit in every match and see the high level of sportsmanship in every player. Trinityhouse High School continues to excel in sports and is becoming the ‘one to watch’ according to some of the bystanders from other schools,” said Adrienne Hadebe from Trinityhouse as she summed up the euphoric occasion.

Agri Zondi, the school’s sports coordinator, shares these sentiments. “We are extremely proud of all of our athletes, they have done a tremendous job and have represented their school to the highest level. We are so grateful for every match won and every victory we achieve. Thank you to all of our staff, coaches and students for another great Founders’ Day.”
