The day kicked off with the U/6 sides locking horns in what was a surprisingly entertaining match.
The two teams played a match that ebbed and flowed from one end of the pitch to the other, keeping up an intensity level that seemed far superior to that of the U/13s playing on the adjacent field.
In the U/13 game, Panorama FC dominated from the get-go and outplayed Golden Drifters completely.
The brilliant moves and passing were equally matched by the finishing from the forwards, which ultimately led to Panorama defeating Golden Drifters 8–1.
Next up were the U/9, U/11 and U/15 teams, which proved not so successful for Panorama.
The U/15 Panorama side were absolutely outplayed by the class displayed by Golden Drifters who used silky smooth skill and deft touches to inflict a demoralising 1–11 defeat on home side Panorama.
The U/11 side came up against opponents who were bigger, stronger, and faster, but that didn’t stop them from playing brilliantly. The boys, despite their size disadvantage against some players, played extremely well, with a never-say-die attitude.
Unfortunately they still slumped to a 2–4 defeat, but made it a hard-fought win for Starlets, to say the least.
The U/9s yet again displayed just where the future lies, with a gripping game that never saw any true domination.
The U/17 sides played great soccer with the game ending in a 1-all draw.
It was a successful day on all fronts, with each club bagging at least one win during the day.
