Hillfox patrons treated to top wrestling action

Wrestlers had fans on their feet

The atmosphere at the Hillfox Power Centre was electric, as fans excitedly waited for their favourite wrestlers to enter the ring. The fact that the event had to be moved indoors did not dampen the spirit at all, and the Honour Wrestling Association’s (HWA) wrestlers were welcomed with open arms.

Hector Payne won the match by pinning Harlequinn.

The show kicked off with Steve Eden allowing some of the children to experience being inside the square circle. This demonstration was rudely interrupted by the appearance of the newly crowned World Champions, Mr Money and Hector Payne, who were greeted with loud jeers from the crowd.

Mr Money demanded to fight the flying springbok, Steve Eden and much to the delight of the fans, the challenge was accepted and the main event decided.

The first match saw Azazel taking on The Bandit, entertaining the crowd with their high-flying skills. The Bandit managed to win the match when he pinned Azazel. The next match was between Harlequinn and Hector Payne. The latter is due to defend his world title. The crowd realised from the start that there would be trouble as Mr Money accompanied Hector Payneto support him next to the ring.

Harlequinn quickly took control of the match and was set for victory, but Mr Money had other plans. He pushed the referee, Eric Blignaut, in front of Hector Payne, resulting in Harlequinn knocking him down. With the referee taken out of the equation, Mr Money made his final move (the Budget Cut) on Harlequinn. He then pulled Hector Payne on top of Harlequinn, and dragged the referee towards them to perform the three count. This resulted in Hector Payne winning the match with a pin fall.

Mr Money asserting his dominance over Steve Eden.

The fans were on their feet when Steve Eden came out for the main match, but their excitement quickly turned into anger as Mr Money broke all the rules and cheated continuously – while the referee turned a blind eye. Despite this, Steve Eden dominated, and the match was almost over after Mr Money was thrown to the ground with a belly-to-belly suplex from Steve Eden, amid cheers from the crowd.

But, the match took a surprising turn when Azazel ran into the ring and joined Hector Payne and Mr Money to outnumber Steve Eden. With the odds stacked against him, he received assistance from an unlikely ally when Harlequinn came out to help him. It quickly turned into a tag match, with Steve Eden and Harlequinn against the trio of Hector Payne, Mr Money and Azazel. Initially, the two-man team worked well together and they were on their way to record a win, but Harlequinn sold his allegiance to Mr Money, leaving Steve Eden to his own devices. It took only minutes for the trio to win the match.
