Florida Cricket Club boasts 10 provincial players

'Make the club proud'

 

Ten players from the Florida Cricket Club have been rewarded for their hard work during the year by being called up to represent their province.

The Gauteng Cricket Board’s (GCB) capping ceremony took place at the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium. During the ceremony, cricketers from U/15 – U/19 age groups received their provincial colours.

The following club cricketers were selected:

• Billy van Zyl (Boys U/15A)

• Zaid Essop and Micael Pfab (Boys U/15B)

• Johan Mulder, Clayton Pather and Amish Kooverjee (Boys U/17A)

• Mohammed-Ahmed Safraz and Emmanuel Motsweri (Boys U/19A)

• Saeed Kirsten and Brian van Rooyen (Boys U/19B)

The players will be participating in various tournaments in the different provinces, and urged to make the club proud by showcasing their talent born out of the small, west-side club.
