Local dancer makes her school and parents proud

Mom speaks fondly of her talented daughter.

A young local dancer left her school and parents chuffed after excelling in a recent dance competition. Erin Byrne, an Irish dancer in Grade 5, scooped first place in a national Irish dance competition held in the city last month.

Her proud mother, Nikki, spoke fondly of her daughter’s dance career and achievement.

“She only started two years ago,” she said, adding that Erin loves dancing and proves her passion by attending dance lessons at the Duncan Studio in Sunninghill at least four times a week.

“We are very pleasantly surprised and hope that she will continue dancing for a very long time,” Nikki said.
