The Maragon Private Schools girls U/14 hockey team were the ultimate winners when they competed in the Prestige tournament. They follow the boys U/14 hockey team that won the competition a week earlier.
In their first game, the Maragon team slotted eight goals past Randfontein High School’s first team without conceding a single goal. They then beat Town View High School’s first team 5–0. In the semifinal, the Maragon team beat Hoërskool Noordheuwel U/14A team 3–0 to book the place in the finals.
In the finals of the Prestige tournament, Maragon took on Krugersdorp High School’s U/15A team. Maragon won the difficult match 2–1 and claimed the title.
