Maragon Private School will have 11 representatives in the Johannesburg West Cricket team. The players are spread across the different age categories. Nick Farrar, Amy Hughes, Tendai Kadyamadare and Rohan Ramjee were selected to be part of the U/9 team.
In the U/10 team, Cayden Sunker and Sivan Pillay will be representing the district, while Simon Polglase will be in the U/12 team. Ethan Perry, Byron Grove, Graytin Pretorius and Benjamin Wietz were selected to be in the U/13 team.
The players were chosen after trials took place at Hoërskool Florida’s cricket grounds earlier this month. The teams will now be training together and participating in warm up matches with neighbouring districts.
