Football Without Border is ready to fight!

Football Without Borders is looking for sponsorship to register their boxers.

Football Without Borders intends to register seven of their boxers in the amateur division.

Registering the children with the South African Boxing Association will allow them to participate in tournaments and create a record of their wins and losses. Some of the children who have been chosen to be the first group from Football Without Borders to compete have been boxing and training with the organisation since its inception.

Pontsho Moreketla proves she may be small but she’s tough.

After all their hard work and dedication, the organisation believes the following children deserve to compete: Pontsho Moreketla, Sonko Tikhale, Dimakatfo Tshabalala, Kabelo Kutama, Vuyo and Zanele Daniels, and Njabulo Mntungwa.

Founder of the organisation, Michael Mapfunde, said, “It is time for the children to see what they can achieve.” Boxing coach, Abraham Moeketsi said he hopes the children will each get to the point where they are able to compete in any competition.

Coach Abraham Moeketsi stands with the children he has selected to compete in competitions.

However, they need financial backing. To compete, each child needs to have its own boxing gloves, head gear, hand wraps, shoes and vests. The organisation is also looking for someone who would be able to help with transportation, or the cost of transportation to tournaments around Johannesburg.

Football Without Borders offers boxing and soccer training to the children of Zandspruit. The organisation uses sport as a hook to teach the children valuable life skills.
