Homegrown Gauteng Lion scores first try

Local learner does his school proud with his rugby achievements.

Trinityhouse Little Falls’ Jordan Smith has scored his first try in the U/12 Gauteng Lions rugby team.

Jordan started at Trinityhouse Preparatory School Little Falls in one of the school’s first Grade 1 classes in 2012, when the school first opened its doors to the community.

Jordan has come full circle, becoming an amazing scholar and athlete with the guidance of Trinityhouse’s amazing sports programmes and teachers, and recently, he made it into the U/12 Gauteng Lions team. Durung their very first tour to Vryheid, Jordan scored a try against the Griquas, playing on the left wing in the number 11 jersey for the first team.

“I love rugby because of the brotherhood. Rugby is a team sport, you can’t play on your own,” said Jordan

Trinityhouse Little Falls is extremely proud of Jordan and knows he is going to accomplish much on the team and in the future.
