It was a battle of the top bowlers in the Sables Region as the green lawns of Witpoortjie Bowling Club hosted the Invitation Masters.
The competition saw champions of prestigious events in the region vying for the top position. There were 11 clubs taking place in the competition, including Discovery, Krugersdorp, Randfontein Bowling Clubs. The competition was organised by Mervyn Lynn and Bennie Boshoff.
In the Men’s Final, it was Leases Bowling Club versus Krugerdorp Bowling Club as Mark Petzer took on Rickus Heystek. After a fun and tough match, Mark prevailed as the winner and Rickus had to settle for the runner-up’s medal.
In the Women’s final, Ruimsig Bowling Club’s Carmen Jacobs took on Kimberly du Preez for the title. The duo proved to be two rising stars in the game as they displayed top shelf skills to please the audience. In the end, Kimberly was able to secure victory and became the champion while Carmen was runner-up.
