Local chess player among top 30 in SA

She participated in the SA Junior Closed Chess Championships 2017 during the Easter holidays.

Kerri-Ann Naicker participated in the SA Junior Closed Chess Championships 2017 during the Easter holidays. She competed in the girls U/14 category at the annual event which sees the top 30 youth chess players in the country competing according to age and gender.

Their aim is to earn the right to represent South Africa at continental and international events for that calendar year. The top 2 placed players per age and gender group automatically qualify for all continental and international events.

Kerri-Ann competed valiantly in the competition and received a 14th place finish in her age group in the country.
