The netball season has returned and athletes are abuzz, sweating blood and tears in order to excel in the recent trials. The competition will see young netball players chosen for the D12 Netball team.
The team will consist of the best players in each age group from all over the district, including Roodepoort, Meadowlands, Dobsonville and Orlando West.
The players will now compete for a chance to be in the Johannesburg and Mogale (Jomo) Netball team. Five netball players from Maragon Private Schools have been selected to participate in the trials. Maya Maseng and Palesa Setsoale have been chosen to be part of the U/12 team, while Megan Funnell, Christiana Lambiris and Samantha Maasdam will be in the U/13 team. The trials will take place this month at Hoërskool Florida.
