Titles change hands at Hardcore event

Wrestlers delight fans

It was a weekend of hardcore action as wrestlers from the top stables in the country put on an awe-inspiring performance for the East Rand crowd. Wrestlers from Honour Wrestling Association, Xtreme Wrestling Association, South African Pro Wrestling and Africa Wrestling Association put their bodies on the line in the SAPW Home of Hardcore event.

The Jackal, came up short when his rival, Hector Payne defeated him to become the new SAPW Hardcore Champion in a barbed-wire match. The ring ropes covered in barbed wire, various weapons, thumbtacks and panes of glass and even assistance from special guest referee, Hardcore legend, Jacques Roque were not enough to stop a determined Payne.

In the upset of the year, Harliquinn managed to end the year-and-a-half title reign of The Crow in a traditional SAPW Hardcore match. Harliquinn had the fans on their feet when he showed a very unexpected side of him and caught the crow off guard.

In other results Griffin defeated Jack Canon in a chair match. Warlock defeated Steve Eden, The Ripper and Londos Lionhart in a four-way elimination match.

Big Fire defeated Cowboy in a tables match.

SAPW wrestlers can be seen this weekend at the Impala Rally at Hartbeespoort Resort when Hector Payne and Harliquinn will have their first title defences.
