Based on the discoverers of olden times, Discovery Full Service Primary School’s interhouse athletics roared with spirit. The green team was named after Magellan, the yellow team was named for Da Gama, the red team was named after Columbus, and the blue team was named after Diaz.
The school, which excels in various sports such as soccer, table tennis, netball, swimming, chess and cross country is now concentrating on athletics. With one eye on the upcoming D12 Athletics meeting and potential Gauteng provincial team places up for grabs, the school wants to ensure it sends its best team to the Ruimsig Stadium on 6 February and will do so by selecting the athletes who place top in the respective events.
