GALLERY: Athletes create a field of colour

POORTVIEW – The King's School West Rand pupils dress up in their sports gear for a day of athletics.

Pupils at The King’s School West Rand wasted no time in getting back into the school spirit at the interhouse athletics.

The school has four houses – Emerald (green), Jasper (red), Sapphire (blue) and Topaz (yellow). All pupils participated in javelin, sprints, long distance running, shot put, high jump and long jump to accumulate points for their house.

Team spirits ran high with pupils sporting the colour of their houses with coloured clothing, face paints and tutus. Parents were also invited to enjoy a day in the sun and picnic on the sports field.

“We had a fantastic spirit throughout the school and even parents spectating had a teacher/parent race before the relays at the end of the day. We are so proud of our learners competing to the fullest of their God-given talent,” said sports administrator, André Berrangé.
