Rhode Ackerman was the big winner at the recent South African Gymnastics prize-giving ceremony.
She was awarded a gold medal for her performances during the 2016 season in Tumbling and Gymnastics. She also received a silver medal for her high level performances for Central Gauteng this year.
But this was not the end for Rhode as she also claimed the Central Gauteng Top Female Gymnast, the Gauteng Top Female Gymnast and the South African Gymnast of the Year awards.
Now Rhode will be looking improve on this year’s performances and have an even better 2017, with a view to competing in international competitions where she can test herself against top gymnasts from around the world.
