A Maragon Private Schools staff member, Erin Steyn, took up the challenge and cycled the Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge on behalf of the South African Guide Dog Association (SAGA).
SAGA is a fully constituted non-profit organisation and has been in operation in South Africa since 1953.
The Association trains guide dogs for the blind, providing them with independence, mobility and companionship, as well as service and social dogs for the physically disabled. These dogs assist with switching lights on and off, opening and closing doors and perform other service-related tasks for the disabled.
