Gymnasts from 24 Seven Gymnastics and Trampoline Club were in top form when they participated in the North Zone Trampoline Championships. The competition was held in Pretoria last weekend (3 September) and the club’s gymnasts were representing Central Gauteng.
JP Roux, Moné Groenewald, Tiisetso Doubatla, Sean, Angel and Audrey Moyo achieved their Junior Central Gauteng Provincial colours. The gymnasts had to compete and excel in qualifying competitions such as the Mini Trampoline, Blacktop Trampoline and Euro Trampoline Championships. This was to earn the right to participate in the North Zone Championships.
Club mates Nicole Swanepoel, Huibrecht Groenewald and Caela Truter have been working hard to put themselves in prime position to earn their Junior Central Gauteng colours in Acro Gymnastics. The trio have competed in four competitions this year raking in the gold medals, and will now look to increase their medal collection when they participate in the provincial championships later this month.
