Sables Players Association Championship in May
RUIMSIG – Bowling fans and players are invited to witness competitive bowls during Sables Players Association Championship.
The Sables Players Association (SPA) will host the Sables Senior, Invitational and Open Masters Championships in May.
The SPA includes clubs such as Ruimsig Bowling Club, Discovery Bowling Club and Witpoortjie Bowling Club among others.
Graeme Morton from SPA explained that the championship is a prestigious event on the district calendar. “We extend our invitation to all bowlers and spectators to come along and enjoy the exciting display of competitive bowls that will be played throughout the tournament,” he said.
He thanked the major sponsors within Gauteng Bowls for their continued support towards bowls within the Sables district.
Discovery and Witpoortjie bowling clubs have been chosen as host clubs for the 2016 Sables Masters Championships.
“The Sables Players Association would like to extend their thanks to the presidents, Rob Mclarty, from Discovery Bowling Club, and George Nysschen from Witpoortjie Bowling Club for all their assistance in preparation for the tournament,” Morton concluded.
Championship Tournament dates:
• Sables Senior Men’s and Women’s Masters – 7 and 8 May 2016 – Discovery Bowling Club
• Invitational Men’s and Women’s Masters – 7 and 8 May 2016 – Witpoortjie Bowling Club
• Open Men’s and Women’s Masters – 28 and 29 May 2016 – Discovery Bowling Club
