Two soccer players in school squad

Soccer boys bring pride to their school

Discovery Primary Full Service School’s Amohelang Mafohla, Joshwin Trican and Tashreeq Isaacs have made it into the Roodepoort Proteas School Squad.

The pupils are among a team of 30 players that made it after trials in April.

The Roodepoort Schools Soccer Trials were held at Charterhouse and various schools were invited to send their best players.

The trials were for the U/12 and U/13 soccer boys and Discovery Primary sent 15 of their best from those age groups to participate in the trials.

On the last day of the trials, six of Discovery’s boys were selected for the final round of the trial.

In the final, Mafohla, Trican and Isaacs were chosen.

The team will now be participating in the Bill Stewart Tournament which will be held in KwaZulu-Natal in July.
