Maragon’s Netbal first team in action

Netbal festival in Bedfordview

Maragon Private School’s Netball senior first team participated in the annual St Andrews Netball Festival in Bedfordview.

The festival which took place on 31 March to 3 April gave individuals and teams the opportunity to improve their netball skills and to work on combinations before the start of the netball season.

There were more than 32 schools and about 130 netball players who played in the festival.

Maragon’s team played 13 matched during the festival against teams such as St. Mary’s Diocesan School for Girls from Pretoria and Crawford College from Lonehill and Holy Rosary.

The team showed vast improvements in this year’s festival.

They went from 22nd place last yea to 14th place this year.

Annastacia Sijbesma made the all-stars team, which means she had been deemed to be one of the ten most influential players of the festival.
