Five boxers from the Witpoortjie Vikings Boxing Club will be representing the Gauteng province at the later this month.
Gauteng provincial boxers who largely hail from the West Rand have been using the Randfontein boxing club as a base.
This is to prepare for the upcoming South African Championships this coming weekend.
Local amateur boxing club Witpoortjie Vikings have their own boxers participating in the competition.
Jared Hensberg, Dawn Deutschmann, Tyler Peters, Leandrè Hester and Phumelele Cele qualified for the national showpiece after competing at the Western Gauteng Trial in Randfontein last month.
They will travel to Cape Town where they will go head to head against boxers representing their own provinces.
At stake will also be a spot in the South African national team.
