South African Mixed Pairs champions and Defending Sables Mixed Pairs champions Mike and Lynn Marnewick were once again crowned winners of the Sables event this weekend.
The duo competed in the competition held at their home club Rand Leases Bowling.
They were up against Rudo Botha and Ingrid Twigg from Krugersdorp Bowling club whom they beat in the final.
The Marnewicks will now represent Sables at the national competition in Kimberly.
The tournament was held on Sunday (20 March) and in the third and fourth playoff competition, it was an all out Rustenberg Impala affair.
Sherley Buytendag and Vincent Dinale faced off in a battle against club mates Llewellyn and Tracy Meredith.
Buytendag and Dinale persevered to win their match and earn third place in the tournament.
