Sarah-Lee Roscoe came home with two gold medals when she participated in the Gauteng JKA tournament last weekend (11 March).
The competition was hosted at the Standard Bank Arena and the 8-year-old from Ridgevale Primary School excelled.
She received a gold medal and Junior Novice Girls Orange Kata certificate in Kata as well as another gold medal and Junior Novice Girls Orange Kumite certificate in Kumite.
Sarah-Lee who trains at Sensei Johan Roet’s Roodepoort Karate Centre and said she was excited to bring pride to her club and sensei.
“It feels awesome to have won so many medals, I am very happy,” she said.
