Laerskool Horison’s Xanthe Erasmus represented her school and Johannesburg West when she participated in the Primary School’s edition of the Gauteng Athletics Championships.
The event was hosted at the Roodepoort Athletics Stadium for the first times as athletes from 15 districts and 1200 schools in Tshwane, Ekhuruleni, Sedibeng and Johannesburg competed for a place in the Gauteng team.
Xanthe participated in the U/13 javelin event where she marginally missed out on qualifying for the Gauteng team.
