School league race this weekend
Watch FLCC's junior paddlers compete at the Lake
Paddlers from West Rand, East Rand, Northern suburbs, Parys and the rest of Gauteng will be participating in the School League race this weekend.
The competition will be hosted by the Florida Lake Canoe Club (FLCC) at Florida Lake.
Participants from U/8 to U/18 will be ready to take on the waters and each other from 9am.
Last month the FLCC paddlers participated in a sprint training race hosted by Victoria Lake Canoe Club at Germiston Lake.
The paddlers are training towards the SA School Sprint Inter-provincial races which take place in KwaZulu-Natal at the end of this month.
The Gauteng Canoe Union School League organises races to help prepare the youth for their challenges.
