Quest Academy excels in Germiston

Swimmers' major medal haul at competition

Earlier this month, Discovery’s Quest Swim Academy came back with a silver medal for claiming second overall after participating in a recent national tournament.

The academy competed in the South African Christian Schools Sport Association (SACSSA) at Delville swimming pool in Germiston.

Their swimmers claimed 56 medals over all with each swimmer receiving nine medals each.

The academy’s pupil Tyler Buffel set a new record in the 50m breaststroke followed by Dagyn Davis-Hannibal who set four records and received runner up for senior Victor Ludorum.

His records include the 50m backstroke, 100m backstroke, 200m individual medley backstroke in relay and rely event.

Jordan Buffel received runner up for Junior Vixtrix Ludorem and Qaylah Bell received senior Victrix Ludorum.

“It was a great gala, with our hard working and dedicated swimmers, achieving their goals with determination and commitment,” said coach Wayne Davis- Hannibal.
