Champions Boxing Academy, a non-profit organization which has been operating for the past 54 years hosted a tournament this weekend (30 November).
Young boxers from clubs such as Geometric from Ekhuruleni, Elsburg from Pretoria and Cosmo City Boxing Club.
Boxing fans were treated to at least 20 action packed bouts ranging from all ages, divisions and ranks.
The academy is home to hundreds of underprivileged youth, provided with adequate sporting, training and competitive opportunities on an international level.
“The club is free of charge to the communities members of Lenasia, Eldorado Park, Maraisburg, Bosmont, Florida and many other surrounding areas. We also provide educational study groups and support as well as psychological counselling and guidance services in addition to our daily feeding scheme initiatives,” said the clubs coordinating manager Ra’ees Khan
