Local actor Thabo Mokgethi, who has been in blockbuster movies such as District 9 and and Jacobs Cross will be hosting a West Rand soccer tournament.
The event will feature a senior and U/14 category.
Held in Kagiso to increase accessibility for players from different backgrounds, the tournament will aim to shift the focus of youth away from negative activities such as drinking and drugs and channel it towards a positive endeavor such as sport.
Coaching clinics will be held by former professional players from different clubs. The tournament will take place over three weekends in December from the 16 to 28. A launch draw will be held in Kagiso on Saturday 12 December , which will also be the closing date for registrations.
